Hyperion Empire
The mirror universe version of the Hyperion Federation.
They have unified not by peaceful means but by force. Despite the popular use of Replicators, the leaders managed to preserve the corporatocracy nature of the Empire, even if it technically isn't an empire. The HE is post-scarcity, similar the the HF, but the workers work because they have no choice; staying unemployed for too long is likely to end in being sent to concentration camps.
Due to their parallel nature with the HF, they use very similar technology. For example, the HE would be commonly equipped with Oblivion Assault Guns.
Despite their dark nature, however, individuals can have a much larger impact on the Empire than the Federation, sometimes starting civil wars that tempoarily bring light into their lives.
Much like the HF, the HE is comprised of many star nations and focuses a lot on technological advancement. They have access to many of the technologies of the HF, but have no ethics committee. The HE has learned lessons from the (mirror version of the) Rih’kiel Remnant however, and understands that Antimatter Bolter Rifles (for example) are very dangerous in the hands of a rebel or other individual with malicious intent. The HE instead places restrictions on these technologies itself, the various emperors and corporations determine what technologies are too dangerous for common use. This equipment is blocked on most Replicators.
The HE is also more militaristic than the HF but has a military of equal soze ot the HF. Its economy isnt as strong as that of the HF due to rebellion and civil war, but the HE can keep up with the HF due to having a more rapidly expanding economy through the use of more nanobot warheads and can also replicator-print people at a slow rate unlike the HF. Other than this, they have technologically advanced in a similar way as the HF, making use of high-energy technology, Tachyon Cannons, ect.
Other than that, HE cultures can vary aobut as much as those of the HF. They would typically be the inverse of the equivalent HF culture and potentially be more militaristic. Interesting, the HE has made allies with some mirror universe versions of factions they would normally be enemies with. For example, they are normally considered enemies of the GSA, but allies of the GAE due to ideological lineup.

The HF hates the HE because their people doesnt have much freedom.
The HF likes the HE because their people can effect the HE on a large scale to bring light into their lives - something which the HF cant offer itself.

Both the HF and HE are opposites and like and hate each other for opposite reasons in the opposite ways.
