Starfall Strike Satellite
Contrary to its name, the Starfall is actually a starship. Although most of it is taken up by its main weapon, it is capable of moving itself, slowly. It is also undefended and will require escorts.
It is intended as an orbital strike platform, charging up to fire a large beam of superheated plasma down to a planet below. A Starfall will not destory a planet entirely but will devastate a large area around the impact zone. However, as so much of the craft is taken up by the weapon, the entire hull needs to enter lockdown mode just to resist the force of the weapon firing. In lockdown mode, the RCS thrusters are covered so it can only rotate using very powerful gyros and move with its main engine. This makes it quite unresponsive, but is capable of withstanding fire when hit especially in lockdown mode. Built and used by the Hyperion Federation.
