The timeline of Valland's most notorious group of criminals.
Avaahn Casper, Balasar Blackwater, Jinx, and Tarik Gamathanki all competed doing the same job, but soon figured out the whole job was a set up by Virelios Castellan, an aspiring criminal mastermind, to hire a criminal crew. The Black Dawn Campaign begins.
The Misfits, on their first mission together ran by Castellan, secure a stolen shipment of pixie dust from a castle of vampires. They escape in a getaway car conjured by Jinx, making this their first encounter with the police as a group.
The Misfits of Valland launch their first setup mission, robbing a Wildeburnian cargo shipment using state-of-the-art Castellan technomagic. The airship was robbed of a government-funded prototype learning warforged, to be used in Castellan's big score in about a week's time. The airship ultimately crashes into the Vallandian countryside, causing a diplomatic nightmare in a cold war.
The Misfits of Valland infiltrate a banquet of the Cromoni Mafia, Valland's most notorious crime family. The night of the 23rd, the criminals scouted the area and mingled among the guests in hopes of finding a way into the basement, where Cromoni supposedly kept a supposed "matter destroyer". The next morning, the criminals launched, what was at first a silent mission, a loud raid of the manor, killing Cromoni and many of his men. The criminals secure the device for Castellan's big score.
The Misfits of Valland, in a series of escalating crimes stemming from a traffic infraction, are eventually arrested at the hands of the Vallandian police force. They are arrested in the morning and incarcerated later that night.
The Misfits of Valland are the first in history to escape Black Mountain Maximum Security Prison alongside Malia Deceit, Milo Vale, and Thyreos Xaltakarr. The original 4 Misfits escape after a mere 3 days of incarceration.
The Misfits go for Castellan's "big score" without any of the necessary setup equipment. The mission ends in Balasar Blackwater's death and the other Misfits' narrow escape with the acquisition of several magic items.
The Misfits of Valland meet their most formidable ally in the form of the elite mercenary group known as the Slicers. The group is handily defeated in battle, being transported to a maximum security Protectors cell block, save for Avaahn Casper. The biggest players in the criminal underworld have been taken out.
The Misfits of Valland are broken out of prison to hunt down the Slicers, first killing Malia Deceit, Milo Vale, and Virelios Castellan, who had been revealed to be Jinx's father. CDA-2, the slicer who was Castellan's pet project, was the first Slicer to be killed.
The Black Dawn travels to Reagarr, finding Valtar Illistyn disguised as one of Jako Blackwater's knights. They defeat Illistyn and his traitorous goons, although not before Blackwater and the Blackrazor were thrown into a portal of fire and death.
The Black Dawn ventures into the Kalleian mountains, finding and killing their next slicer as part of a prophesized battle to repeat across generations.
The Black Dawn travels to Avaahn's family home in Elaria, where they found Alathar and Elincia Casper, aided in battle by the spellcaster of the Slicers. After narrowly defeating their enemies, Alathar Casper was killed by Tarik and Daedalus against Avaahn's wishes, tearing the group into pieces. The Black Dawn was no more, as they had never been seen together again.
