You must not worship other gods than the eight Gods of Time and Order. Other gods are false and chaotic.
The steam technology is a gift from the gods. Spread it to all the lands so they can prosper.
You must shun chaos, for it is antithetic to order. Chaos does not respect the natural order of all things, so you must not respect it either.
From the perspective of The Order, only eight sentient species - humans, dragonborn, dwarves, elves, gnomes, goliaths, halflings and kobolds - are naturally formed and thus pure. These are referred to as the "Eight People of Order". Individuals born due to otherwordly influence, such as aasimar, genasi and tieflings, are thought to belong to the natural order as well, as are constructed entities like automatons, golems and the Warforged. Most of the other species, like orcs, goblins, fey folk and the half-beasts, are considered mutants, descendants of people influenced by chaotic energy. In the past, these people were persecuted, excecuted and even enslaved, and even today they are not fully accepted as members of the society.

Prosecutors are of religious background, but other lawyers are allowed to operate outside of priesthood. Drug use, gambling and prostitution are not illegal per se, but are deemed highly immoral activities among religious people.
Organization
The leader of The Order in each state is called a Metropolite. The eight Metropolites are religious, militaristic and governmental figureheads of their respective state. They are said to be successors of the Eight Prophets that united the nations of Chronan and founded the theocracy about 500 years ago. Below the Metropolites is a host of subordinates:Principles
