  • Tritiana Mater, often known just as The Mother especially among halflings, is the goddess of fertility, agriculture and family. She is called upon whenever a baby is born, a couple gets married, or a new crop is sown into the ground. The Order teaches that she tills the land to free it from its chaotic nature. She is particularly popular in the countryside outside the great cities. She has been compared to primordial nature goddesses in heretical texts, and many halfling societies believe against official teachings that she is their sole creator.

    Appearance

Tritiana Mother is most often depicted as a voluptious, pregnant halfling woman with curved horns protruding from her forehead. On her lap she is shown carrying an infant and the Cornucopia, the Horn of Plenty that spouts endless amount of fruits and wheat. In rural parts of the Eight States, she has a wilder, more erotic aspect as the goddess of passion and lust, where she is depicted nude. She welcomes great healers and heads of large families to her embrace at "the Blessed Fields of Elysium" after they pass from this world.

    Clergy

Her priests dress in green habits and shawls, and the majority of them are female. The Doctor Priests and Nurse Monks, as they are referred, are dedicated to take care of the sick and the injured.

    Temples

The temples she has in the city are used as hospitals, where people come for childbirth or to seek treatment for diseases. Some also provide housing for the sick and the elderly, and a few act as spas that offer soothing baths. Then there are those that are used as orphanages, especially for children whose parents have been convicted as worshippers of chaos. In these orphanages those children are re-educated under the faith of The Order.

    Powers

The people who commit their lives to serve Tritiana Mater are often gifted with powers to heal and conjure magical beasts and plants. Even some druids have turned as her followers, especially those that have become accustomed to living in the city.
