The Dragon Lords

The mighty metallic dragons that rule The Glimmering Archiourano are collectively known as the Dragon Lords. Each have claimed dominion over one of the floating islands, also called "skylands". The dragons live in relative harmony, even though from time to time an offspring that has grown powerful enough makes a challenge known as Dracoballo. The two dragons then battle it out in a dance of life and death, with the victor claiming the dominance of the skyland.
Over the ages the Dragon Lords have created hosts of dragonborn - people imbued with the blood of dragons - and kobolds to serve them. The leaders of these legions are often half-dragons, people born from a union between a true dragon and a humanoid.
The Dragon Lords have made a treaty with the people of the Eight States of Chronan, despite not sharing their faith, worshipping the Platinum Dragon instead. The Chronanese Airships are allowed to pass the airspace of the Archiourano in peace, and the dragons trade them Glimspar to power the vessels. This peace is sometimes broken by raiders and Sky Pirates that are after the riches of the dragons.
In ancient times before The Fellstar struck, there were several chromatic Greatwyrms in the world that the Dragon Lords of the Archiourano opposed, but they all died or disappeared after the calamity. Only myths of great battles of the ancestral dragons remain.

Mishakhalem, an ancient female gold dragon who rules Pamilang Skyland and the Bright Pagodas

Zhuveel Enku, an ancient male silver dragon who rules Shubrabi Skyland and the City of Silks
