Sky Pirates
Sky Pirates are raiders using Chronanese airship technology to pillage other Airships and the floating islands of The Glimmering Archiourano to gain riches. They consist several rivaling crews, but they are rumored to have a common safehaven called Himmelheim at a remote part of the Skyward Peaks.
Piracy is naturally outlawed in the Eight States of Chronan, so the sky pirates are relentlessly pursued by the Chronanese military force called the Air Brigade. The first sky pirates and the founders of Himmelheim were actually defectors from the Air Brigade after the Great War Between Order and Chaos, lead by the rebellious drow captain Zelbess Udrum'mut.
Currently the most influential sky pirate crew are the Twilight Corsairs, lead by a couple known by the pseudonyms of Black Day and White Night. Their slender main airship, The Pierrot, is shaped like a black-and-white shark, and is said to be the fastest in the skies above Chronan. They also have two smaller ships, The Pulcinella and The Columbina.
Other crews based in Himmelheim include the Peryton Boys, the Thunderballs, the Darkmantles, and the Red Baronets. Each of them only commands one ship.
