Greatwyrms

During the Gilded Age, massive chromatic dragons known as Greatwyrms rose in power, subjugating entire nations under their rule. They were opposed by metallic dragons, giants and mages, but still managed to amass great following and fortune. They are assumed to have been wiped out when The Fellstar struck the world circa 2500 years ago.
Known Greatwyrms included:

The Alvanystrian, a male green Greatwyrm that legends said arrived from the forestlands of Alvanystria in the eastern continent to try and claim the Grandwood as his own. He was banished by an unlikely alliance of dragons, giants and fey folk after a long, grueling war. His true name is lost to history, but it was recorded that he had a single, curved horn on his forehead.

Hwynephred, a female white six-legged Greatwyrm that ruled the great southern glaciers named after her. Legends from the southern Shattered Continent say that she still lives in the icy desolation this day, having grown tall as a mountain.

Khordaganna, a female blue Greatwyrm that ruled the Hourglass Desert in modern Gardenoor. She was said to have molten gold on her scales to appear more regal. The blue dragons of Chronan consider her to be their ancestral queen, and still guard the impenetrable Stormvault that was is said to contain her hoard.

Luternas Zolm, an elongated, flightless male black Greatwyrm that reigned the jungle region now known as Lutsvetz Marshlands. His mutated, wingless offspring still reside there.

Xizathot, a two-headed red Greatwyrm that ruled the Tephra culture in Brimstone Island until the coming of the Fellstar.
