Elethrain

  • Symbol: copper skull with two diamonds for eyes
  • Divine Domains: grave, trickery
  • Arcane School: necromancy
  • Weekday: Elethday
  • Month: Coppermoon
  • Elethrain is the patron deity of merchants and miners, who governs over subterranean riches and the Underworld. She is worshipped in funerals as the goddess who welcomes the dead to her underground realm of wealth and peace. She is also secretly worshipped among thieves and gamblers as the goddess of luck. Among the dwarven clans of The Skyward Peaks and Netherspan, Elethrain is but one deity among the dwarven pantheon.

    Appearance

Elethrain is depicted as a dwarven goddess in a copper plate armor covered in gems. Her eyes are two large diamonds peeking through the visor of her helmet. She carries a golden warpick called the Undertaker. From her golden palace in the Underworld, she governs over the souls of the common folk who have not been deemed pious enough to ascend to the Seven Heavens, or wicked enough to be judged into the Nine Hells.

    Clergy

Her clergy dresses in black cloaks with copperwire trimming, with the leaders dressing in more elaborate, gem-encrusted attires. Her priests usually lead the funeral ceremonies. The dead are prepared and the graves are kept up by mortician monks dedicated to the somber work.

    Temples

Her imposing temples are where the dead are prepared for their final journey before burial to the cemeteries and catacombs. Some banks also claim to be dedicated to Elethrain's worship.

    Powers

Those committed to her sometimes find themselves able to control the undead and sap life from others.
