Kreusstross Myth in Gears of Chronan | World Anvil

Kreusstross

  • Symbol: a hammer and a wrench crossed over a flame
  • Divine Domains: forge, knowledge
  • Arcane School: transmutation
  • Weekday: Kreussday
  • Month: Forgemoon
  • Kreusstross is taught to be the god who invented steam-based technology and gifted it to the people of Chronan. Thus, he is worshipped as the god of inventions and technology. He is the patron god of artificers, smiths and other artisans, and especially revered among gnomes and automatons. Historians point out that he was once but one of a triad of gnomish gods, but the worship of the other two - Gogoljan and Baeragam - is considered heresy.

    Appearance

Kreusstross is depicted as a gnome whose eyes, hair and beard are full of fire of creation. He is equipped with multiple artificial arms that hold various tools as well as Rhondang, the legendary fiery warhammer. His heaven is known as "Bytopia, the Twin Paradise", where he welcomes the souls of all great inventors to work at his heavenly forge.

    Clergy

The smith priests of Kreusstross are clad in leather aprons and hoods, and many have chosen to enhance themselves with clockwork prostheses. His clergy also includes artisan monks dedicated to other type of crafts, such as carpentry, pottery and stonecutting.

    Temples

The temples of Kreusstross are huge smithies and factories. They are often in close proximity to The Artificers' Guildhouses. Even in small villages, there's usually an altar of Kreusstross on top of the local blacksmith's forge.

    Powers

The powers given by Kreusstross allow individuals to change material, objects and even creatures into something else. The power to create and control sentient constructs is also attributed to him.
