Polis Watch

The Polis Watch keeps the law and security in each of the great capitals of the Eight States of Chronan. Officially they belong under the clergy of Politia Palladion, the solar goddess of civilization and peace. In each capital the watch has taken on their own uniform variant, but the common feature are the golden pauldrons or epaulettes with the symbol of the sun on them.   The leading officer of each capital's Polis Watch is a commissary. In most states, the organization only works within the borders of the capital city, while the Air Brigade holds watch over the entire state. Smaller cities and towns are usually guarded by a sheriff and their deputies.   The Polis Watch have different customs and uniforms in different cities:
  • In Copperhaven City, the duty of the Polis Watch is handled by the low-ranking soldiers of the mighty Palladium army. When on watch duty, a golden badge is attached to the blue-and-copper military uniform of the soldier.
  • In Czenova City, the watchmen wear clockwork gear with the metal defining their rank (from brass to bronze, copper, silver, and finally gold), and there are many automatons in their ranks.
  • In Gardenoor City, the watchmen only operate inside the Walled City. They are called the "Golden Guard", wearing gilded helmets and black uniforms with gold details.
  • In Geigerport City, they are known as "the Masked Men" for they wear golden masks depicting different animals based on their rank. Their uniforms are blue with bright red capes.
  • In Jubileum City, the watchmen's helmets have plumes of various colors denoting their rank. Their uniforms are white with gold embroidery.
  • In Magnapolis City, the watchmen wear purple uniforms and black morion helmets. High-ranking officers have golden helmets and purple capes.
  • In Parcivale City, the watchmen wear barbute helmets, traditional chain armor and blue tunics with a gold sash.
  • In Reignstone City, the watchmen are known as "Stonefaces", and carry helmets with a face-shaped visor. The grey-and-gold uniforms include adamantine chainshirts, and the officers wear green cloaks.
