Chaos Artifacts

Chaos Artifacts were objects used in the great war between the forces of chaos and order at the start of the Steaming Age. They were said to hold immense power, but were dangerously unstable to use. The power contained within did not only destroy, but mutate and warp its surroundings.

The most evident use of the Chaos Artifacts is in the Waste surrounding the city of @Czenova, around which the greatest battles of the war were fought. The chaotic energy corrupted the land, its denizens and even the war machines used in the war, and it is now forbidden to enter the Waste, lest the chaos spreads. The artifacts are said to be the reason why Replicatons exist. They are still being sought after by several factions, such as the Agents of Chaos, the Chimeran Magisterium, the Disciples of the Dark Star , and the Rubine Reavers.

It is rumored that the artifacts contained fragments from The Fellstar, a meteor that struck the world thousands of years ago. The teachings of the faith of the Gods of Time and Order claim the meteor was the source of all chaos in the world, while the dragons believe it to be the heart of their lost deity.
