The Agents of Chaos

After the Steaming Age began and the faith of the Gods of Time and Order spread everywhere in Chronan, a great war erupted between The Order and those that revered other gods, later called "the forces of Chaos". The Order emerged victorious in the end. Those on the losing side that survived the war were persecuted, imprisoned, executed and even enslaved for hundreds of years. From this oppression and segregation rose a new group of rebels known as the Agents of Chaos.
The self-titled Agents form an underground movement that attempts to overthrow the rule of The Metropolites in order for all faiths to be recognized in the Eight States. The Order has ushered the Inquisitors to pursue them and put out the flames of rebellion. These Agents are often confused with nefarious cults such as the Disciples of the Dark Star or the Rubine Reavers, even though though their goals and means differ.
One of the goals of the agents is to seek out any remaining Chaos Artifacts, objects of immense power used in the Great War between the forces of chaos and order at the start of the Steaming Age. These artifacts are rumored to contain fragments of The Fellstar, a meteor that struck the world thousands of years ago and caused a great cataclysm.
