Replicatons

Replicatons are corrupted constructs that were once Automatons created by the state of Czenova to wage war against the forces of chaos. After the war, most of them were abandoned and due to chaotic influence of the Chaos Artifacts started to live a life of their own, using scrap metal to mend and replicate themselves.
Most of them now occupy the Waste surrounding the capital city of Czenova, making the lands all the more dangerous for people. Some of the more sentient and sane ones have left to form colonies of their own, including the mobile town of Dunamo that travels in the Hourglass Desert, dealing with illegal activities like gambling and drug trade.
Replicatons can be discerned from common automatons by their composition of whatever parts they have scavenged and welded into themselves. They are also prone to malfunction and go haywire, making them unreliable companions. The faith of the Gods of Time and Order consider them corruptions of their creed, and thus have ordered any replicaton to be destroyed upon sight.
