Ace Alarms and Lock-Safes - 433 W Main Street

The company custom-installs electrical burglar alarm systems in businesses and homes, for $78 and up.   For $1.50 an hour Richard Henry Ace can scrape up a trustworthy watchman to patrol a business or the grounds of a house, but the men are of indifferent quality. On less than short notice, Ace can hire an off-duty officer from the New Jerusalem police for $3 an hour.   Ace carries a variety of fireproof files and safes and can install fireproof (up to 2000°F) safes of up to 180 cubic feet.   Ace is the only locksmith in town who will come to your house on short notice or at night.   Earl Jenkin works for Ace Alarms & Lock-Safes as a watchman patrolling businesses and houses and is reliable though not of the best quality. He’s a veteran of World War II and saw things in the war he’d rather not remember, things that had nothing to do with the war itself. He avoids many of New Jerusalem's cemeteries because of what he’s seen there as well; in both cases, it’s strange wolfish creatures that feed upon the dead, not that Earl knows exactly what they are. Nothing will make him work as a watchman at a cemetery at night. He regularly visits his old war buddy Ray Mowry at the Missituk Valley Veteran's Home - 224 S Boundary St bringing him small things - packs of smokes, chocolates, and the odd magazine.
