Caleb Markham, Locksmith - 206 E Main St

An New Jerusalem native, Markham, 48, makes keys, re-keys locks, sells and installs locks and other closures, including small wall safes. He'll come to your house, but "mebbe not for three or four days." He is an honest man and never performs improper or illegal actions. He's expert at opening old chests and cabinets without damaging them. Markham has a ferocious temper. The shop is open 8 a.m. to noon, and 1-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.   Markham is currently looking to take an apprentice on, someone to help him out with the business and learn the art of the locksmith. He expects 50 hours a week from an apprentice, for which he gladly pays $40 a week. Those who miss more than a few days of work will be fired without regrets.
