The second Taranowski's, and just as good. Baked goods and coffee. Open 5 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday- Saturday, closed Wednesday.
Sheila Torsten, a bulky 22-year-old woman, works here. She is quiet about her personal life, but most know that she lives with her parents here in town.
Eugene Leslie works here as a junior baker, a job he enjoys and which he’s learning a lot from. Eugene would like to have his own bakery at some point, but he knows that setting up one in New Jerusalem would be difficult, as he’d primarily be competing with Taranowski. He doesn’t want to be in competition with his current boss for several reasons, and Eugene has decided he has a few options: to move out of New Jerusalem and set up elsewhere, perhaps Blaine's Port, to be promoted to run the second Taranowski branch, or to talk his boss into setting up a third.
