Kroger's - SW Corner of Main and Garrison

Brand-name canned and packaged goods at low prices. Once one of the first chain markets, the store has been reworked and upgraded to become a legitimate supermarket, a hallmark of the good life in the 1950s.
Marie West works as a clerk in the Kroger’s in New Jerusalem. She’s used to answering questions from older customers who find the idea of a supermarket confusing. She has a patient manner with them, and any other customers, though sometimes her patience can be pushed by people who still think a woman working in a shop is, at best, odd. Marie is also quite independent, and she isn’t looking to get married in the near future. She lives at the Harriet Botsford Hotel for Women, which provides reasonably priced rooms ideal for the independent young woman.
