Wade retails silver and gold jewelry, often set with precious stones. He can cast personal settings. He and the jeweller, Lazlo Caselius, do a lateral business together, with Wade purchasing gems from Caselius and Caselius ordering settings from Wade.
Wade moved here from Sethwich in 1945, Caselius loaning Wade some of the money that started him up and accepting some Sethwich jewelry Wade brought with him as collateral.
Wade is still trying to pay the debt and recollect the pieces. He is nervous and fearful that someone from Sethwich might discover that he has broken his trust and shown the pieces to strangers. Wade may or may not carry the 'Sethwich mark'; he is 34, and his hair is quite thin.
