Although the two newsstands in town have much the same fare, the one nearer the campus is larger and carries more out-of-state newspapers. It also stocks a large number of confession, pulp adventure, and crossword puzzle magazines, all very popular, as well as mainstream magazines, candy, and tobacco. Unlike Ernie's Newsstand on the other side of the river, this one carries no kind of smut, open or hidden. Open 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday-Saturday.
