We returned to let Lyssydo know the way forward was safe & collected Brunin and his fellow travelers. She was very excited to hear that we had defeated the scary monster! We convinced her to let us rest before heading out of the caves. She also followed through on her promise and gave us some magic items. After resting, she led us out of the caves. It was another 2 day journey though. Once outside she flew a few circles and then flew off into the distance. We turned to follow the mountains, heading generally SE towards where we expected Stormbreaker Cove to be, before we ran out of daylight. We rested without incident, before continuing on the next day. After a few hours we found the remnants of a village with stone buildings. We decided we should investigate! As we approached, Sir Arathur noticed several figures hiding in ambush in the ruins. He pointed them out & the group decided to call out in warning & greetings. At which point several Iruxi called out to Turgenak and rushed the group. We handily defeated them. Part way through the fight another Iruxi wandered drunkenly out and watched the fight. After the fight he turned out to be approachable. He said his name was Calshaw. He had been the High Inquisitor of Turgenak. He helped us out by identifying the names of the rest of unknown areas of the dome map they had created. He explained that one was a creature named Nihzor and the other was another called, The Intruder. Nihzor was the source of the Aberrations that were to corrupt the world. The Intruder sought to create Undead. The Androids wanted to kill all other intelligent life. He was able to point out 2 of the domes as Android encampments, one of which we felt was where we had destroyed the portal. We left him to his drunkenness and continued on. Eventually we found the site where we had fought a Giant. From here we knew our way and were able to orient and head straight for Stormbreaker Cove.
After a few days we ran into a group of Zuvan Iruxi. Their leader introduced herself as Captain Urhza Skybreak. They were scouting and securing the local area. They asked us if we would consider clearing some sort of lizard-spider creature out of the ruined tower we had previously explored. Apparently it had taken up residence after the domes had come down. We asked them to take the non-combatants with us to safety at Rezvinoka, along with the corpse of Vudrana, while we investigated the ruined tower. The next morning, before we set off, the group had a long discussion about how to formalize the reward offered vs. our services in clearing the tower. We eventually left without a contract.
Arriving at the ruins we found a Derghodaemon, as identified by Sir Arathur. It did indeed turn out to look like the creature they had described. This Daemon cast many Blade Barriers to separate & damage the party. Eventually we did manage to defeat it, driving the creature off. We did find some treasure in the ruins.
