After a big discussion about morals and not putting each other in danger & not running away unless absolutely necessary, we set out once again. After a short while we then had another discussion around loot. It was decided that Taleih as someone who was actively fighting with the group would receive a share, but that the Dwarves and Halflings would not, as non-combatants. We continued exploring more of the complex, being guided by Voldric's knowledge of how he expected the place to be laid out. We found nothing of interest in one of the living areas. Voldric then directed us to the temple area. As we entered we were assailed by a large group of Skeletal Dwarves fighting in formation. After a fairly easy battle we defeated them. Searching around we found that a statue of Torag held a magical Warhammer. We broke it free of the statue's grasp. We healed up the little we needed to before continuing to explore, eventually finding our way out into some more caves. As we entered the caves we found a broken ring with Dwarven lettering on the remaining pieces. It looked as though there were sliding pieces that slid and it did seem as though this was some sort of portal when it was whole. Leaving the portal, we followed the tunnel for some time before we encountered a swiftly flowing, 15 foot wide stream. This proved little difficulty for the group, between magic and pure athleticism.
A bit further on we spotted a crystalline creature ahead of us. Sir Arathur recognized it as a Crystal Dragon. Assuming a defensive posture & telling the others to wait, he called out to her asking if she wanted to talk. She leapt in the air, landing before Sir Arathur & began talking a mile a minute. She introduced herself as Lyssydo the Bright & explained that she had been trapped here for a very long time by a floating fleshy creature with many eyeballs and tentacles that could turn itself inside out. Aaron was able to tell more about her, recognizing she was a young dragon. She explained that she was frightened of this creature and could not get past it. She told us she would give us some of her "trinkets" as a reward if we could defeat the creature. We did let her know that she could get out the other way now that we had cleared out the undead behind us. We chose to rest for the day before heading on the next day. Brunin chose to stay behind with the rest of his group while we went to see what could be done about the creature in our way. After about 8 hours travel we heard casting & were suddenly enveloped in a cloudkill spell, as identified by Aaron. After some searching we found the creature flying near the ceiling back in the cave. Taleih was able to identify it as a Nyogoth, a type of fiend. After a hard fought battle we were triumphant.
