Adventurer's Wanted...

by Sir Arathur Do'yle

We retreated back to Wrykynn to nurse our wounds. Shortly after we returned, while we were mourning our lost companions, we were approached by General Nazcan. He wanted to introduce us to 2 new adventurers who had just arrived in town. We told him we needed a day to continue mourning & asked that he introduce them to us the following morning. When we awoke, we found that Jemaig had gone missing. We went out looking for him and asking around. Noone had seen him. After searching for a while we decided to head back to our tent. Arriving there, we found an Iruxi & someone in Hellknight plate armor. When the Hellknight removed her helmet it was revealed she was a female Tiefling. She told us her name, but then they mentioned that they had come in on a Chelaxian ship. When we said that one of our companions was missing they mentioned that they had seen a group led by High Priestess of Asmodeus, Commander Aya Casmar, carrying someone towards their ship. We recognized this name as the High Priestess we had met long ago between Stormbreaker Cove & Fort Barbados. The group sprang into action, with Stirling turning into a dragon & flying with Sir Arathur & Leon toward the docks. Stirling decided to land and change back when a very large type of Dragon we could not identify came flying at us from the Crocodilian's ships. After he landed the Dragon turned and went back to where it came from. Eventually, the 2 new adventurers caught up & the Hellknight led us to the ship. During all of this, some Iruxi guards came to speak with us & offered to bring General Nazcan to the ship. The Hellknight was able to speak with the High Priestess, who did not deny holding Jemaig. Since the boat was not making ready to leave, we decided to wait for General Nazcan to help sort this out. When he arrived we explained the situation. We wanted to search the ship for Jemaig to confirm he was not there under duress or not. He agreed to speak with the High Priestess on our behalf. Eventually he managed to convince her to let Jemaig go.
Once all of the excitement died down we finally found time to introduce ourselves. The Hell Knight introduced herself as Jezra Olivarth, a member of the Order of the Nail. The Iruxi introduced himself as Rizadoman. We decided to head back to our tent to discuss our plans and break our fast. When we arrived there a large, pale Iruxi stalked up to us and began speaking with Stirling. It quickly became apparent that this was the humanoid form of the Dragon we had seen that morning. He introduced himself as Expotanian, avatar of Ruthperl. He asked what brought Stirling here. Stirling told him about us trying to help the Iruxi with the Aberration that had killed our companions. After some conversation, he agreed to work with us to kill this Aberration. We were to meet him at sunset near the creature. We made our preparations and headed out. We found the Neolithid where we had encountered him before. We mostly killed it on our own, with Expotanian assisting by breathing on it... and us. Sir Arathur cut it open afterward looking for any signs of Dold or Taleih. Unfortunately, with all the acid inside, there were no signs to be found. We did find some coins and gems nearby. We discussed whether we should head back to town or continue further north, seeking the source of the Aberrations. We decided to rest outside the town, hopefully avoiding another run-in with the High Priestess of Asmodeus.
We woke up feeling refreshed the following morning & headed north to see about finding the area where the Aberrations had been trapped under their own dome. As we traveled we saw a lot of abandoned farmland and dead farm animals. After about 3 days we began seeing a lot of burnt trees and ash. As we moved further north the smoke thickened & we suddenly began being attacked by various spells. However, we could not see further than 5 feet in the smoke. Once he finally laid eyes on the creature, Sir Arathur identified it as a Tolokand, also known as a Waste Walker. This was a truly scary foe. We finally managed to drive it off, then turned to licking our wounds, which were many.
