As we marched towards the area with the Dragon we noticed that the defensive walls of the inner city curved inwards. After some thought we realized this wall must have been built up around the dome when it went up. We passed out of these walls, seeing obvious signs of destruction from the fighting taking place with the Aberrations. As we moved through the ruins towards where the park was supposed to be we heard strange trilling noises ahead. We attempted to move closer stealthily, unsuccessfully. From around a corner we saw a frightening large, aberrant Iruxi coming straight at us! Sir Arathur identified it as a Destrachan. Before long we were attacked by 2 more large aberrations, then a huge one attacked from behind the group - much to Stirling's consternation! After a bit we were able to defeat the creatures. We healed up a bit & moved forward again. After a bit more travel we came to what seemed to be the park we were looking for. We entered and began looking for the Dragon. As we approached the center of the park we saw an Iruxi dressed in furs and leaf armor. Taleih approached to speak with him. The rest of us stayed back a bit so as not to spook the Iruxi. Soon after the conversation started the Iruxi proclaimed "Greetings creatures, you stand before the humble servant of the lord of the wilds, conqueror of the greenlands, brilliance of the forest, killer of giants, master of the arcane, grace of the winds, and dominator of all he sees, Xamirith the viridian"! At this point a Green Dragon stepped out from the trees nearby to stand behind the Iruxi. Taleih started a dialogue with it, offering the chests we had brought with us. After a somewhat rocky conversation we were able to convey the chests were offered in trade for Xamirith leaving the area, as his presence was causing the local Iruxi to have to split their attention from the Aberrations. The Dragon agreed to give the Iruxi an answer in a week. We agreed to come back then to receive the answer. We asked and found out that the Iruxi serving him was named Bavin. Leaving the chests, we made our way back to the walled inner city without further incident. Passing inside we made our way to speak with General Nazcan. The General was disappointed to hear we had not sent the Dragon packing, nor killed it. We explained we would return in a weeks time to get Xamirith's response.
We were shown to the barracks where we discussed how to proceed with our next week. We spent 1 day transferring a rune to a crossbow for Dold. During this day Stirling managed to find 1 Moderate Antidote & 2 Lesser Antidote. Partway through the day an Iruxi visited and asked us to find his son. He introduced himself as Makarn, a watch commander. His son's name was Magklan. He had gone out a few days ago looking for any missing soldiers who may be in hiding and not able to make it back safely. Makarn explained that the soldiers here could not afford any manpower to look for Magklan. He also offered to give us some savings he had if we could find his son. We set out the next day to search for Magklan. After a few hours of searching we ran into another group of Aberrations. There were a few more this time but the fight still went well for us. There was one Iruxi that joined the fight as a spell-caster. Partway through it transformed into some sort of giant brained goblinoid looking creature. We were not able to identify what it was. We gathered together for some healing...
