Nouveaulyon

Nouveaulyon is a small terrestrial world. It is a peaceful agri-world brought to the forefront of Confederate politics. It is a continental world, similar to Earth, with large bodies of water connecting across the globe. The planet is made of two large continents with numerous island chains connecting them both. The largest, and most together continent is l'Île du Cateaux. The second largest continent, Rutreumura, snakes from the north and south hemisphere of Nouveaulyon. A large sea takes up much of the interior of the land, connected to the ocean by various canals through the city of Kikwit. The planet is made up of multiple republics that together make the URSN - Union des Républiques Socialistes du Nouveaulyon, or more commonly UNSR - United Nouveaulyon Socialist Republics, which was a political union that existed from 2230 until 2263, and then was re-established in 2282, where it continues into the present day. The capital of this Republic is Tronchine, which is an autonomous city state in similar style to Cinu's Al-Mular. The largest, and most important republics of Nouveaulyon are:

Geneva - A small nation on the eastern side of Cateaux. It is bordered by Tronchine to the west.
Kemba - A large, but sparsely populated republic on the continent of Rutreumura, located squarely in the northern hemisphere.
Kikwit - A densly populated republic located in the south of Rutreumura. Its capital is home to numerous canal improvement works and Kikwit is one of the most industrious cities on the planet, making Kikwit a major producer of goods on the planet.

Geography

The planet is a continental world similar to Earth. It is smaller and cooler on average which led to large boreal zones. The planet has adapted extremely well to human occupation, with the past hundred years seeing the arrival of countless Earth life, which has adapted to the gravity and temperature through the use of genetic modification
