United Nouveaulyon Socialist Republics
The Union des Républiques Socialistes du Nouveaulyon, or more commonly, United Nouveaulyon Socialist Republics (UNSR) is a political union that exists between multiple socialist republics across the planet Nouveaulyon. It is a multinational union, comprised of many numerous republics and districts. The capital city, Tronchine, is its own district, housing the various offices of the UNSR. The current elected head of government is Secretariat Wil Griffith.
The UNSR was founded in 2230 following the rejection of an autocratic system of government established by the Nouveaulyon Colonial Authority when the system was first colonised. It existed in its original form until 2263, when the People's Republic of Lordania replaced the system with a unified, one-party state. After the Lordanian Revolution, the UNSR was re-established in 2280, where it continues to govern to the modern day.
Structure
The supreme governing body of the UNSR is the Congress of the Republics of Nouveaulyon (Congrès des Républiques de Nouveaulyon). It is comprised of elected representatives from the varying republics, and is capable of amending both the Constitution of the UNSR, and the direction of all public bodies. The public elects a Secretariat, who serves as head of government and representative of the people.
The elected People's Council (Conseil des Peuples) serves as the executive branch of government, and is divided into three parts; the Conseil des Républiques Socialistes, representing the peoples of the nations of Nouveaulyon; the Conseil des Apatride, representing the national groups that do not belong to any one nation; and the Conseil des Travailleurs, representing the workers and ensuring the means of production remain in the hands of the people.

Tronchine Autonomous District
The Tronchine Autonmous District is home to the various political establishments of the UNSR, containing their offices, residences, as well as national monuments, foreign embassies, and international and interstellar organisations.
