Nar Draedon Prison
The Nar Draedon Prison is a maximum security prison located on the planet Chard. Located on a remote island in the middle of magmatic oceans, the prison is considered one of the most secure prisons in the entirety of Human space. Originally constructed by the People's Republic of Lordania as a political prison, it was the site of countless human rights abuses. Following the collapse of the PRL, the prison was taken over by The Brotherhood, who used the prison to house former Unitarian leaders convicted of war crimes. Now under the control of the Confederate Systems of Lordania, the prison has largely been refitted for only the most dangerous of criminals, with much of the prison now closed off and unused.
Purpose / Function
Initially constructed to house political dissidents and those who opposed the People's Republic of Lordania, the prison excelled at its purpose, coming to house nearly ten thousand people at the height of the PRL's reign.
By the 24th Century, the prison has been reduced in size, with many wings simply unused and empty. The prison only handles the worst criminals in the Confederate Systems of Lordania, of which there are less than two-hundred staying in long-term holding.
