Nep Peninsula
Nep Peninsula1 is located in southeastern Dragonía, where the massive Southern Desert gives way to a savanna, and a glimpse into what that region looked like before drying up millennia ago. It's home to Drints, small carnivorous people whose entire lives revolve around the wild cattle that roam the peninsula. Their cousins the Halúdrints inhabit the Erenere Archipelago off the eastern coast.
Geography
The peninsula is located southeast of the Southern Desert, east of the Tærp Mountains and west of the Erenere Archipelago. Much of the landscape is relatively flat savanna, split by the meandering Pararap River into western and northeastern areas, and lined by sandy beaches along the shore.
Fauna & Flora
Nep Peninsula is home to the only remaining herds of cattle in Dragonía, distant ancestors of the Minotaurs inhabiting the area around Ymn Lake in the desert. The cattle migrate north during the summer and back south in the winter, each time crossing the Pararap River where some fall prey to Karíks, amphibians resembling crocodiles which lurk in the water. While karíks also eat fish in the river, most dig into the silt and hibernate there until the cattle return.
