Móerga River

Útelic/Móerkelic: Móerga /mo:erka:/
Móerga is the longest and southernmost of the three rivers on the western Plain of Spirits in northeastern Dragonía, the other ones being Harlú River and Þenaa River. Like the latter, the banks of the river are dotted with ruins built by the Móerkels, descendants of Útel settlers from Ela'k Forest to the south and ancestors of the Mörkels and Þrihaks who now inhabit eastern part of the great plains, most of which are now home to centaur-like Knárs, who are native to the region.
The one exception to this is Jaleros, a colony at the mouth of the river founded by the Ameders -another Útel descendants who now inhabit Kanix Forest to the north. Jaleros provides the city-state of Yþól with crops that would be virtually impossible to grow at home -much like the colonies by the other rivers- and acts as a trading post for Útel merchants to sell goods such as spices, wine, acorn meal and metals in exchange for wares from Kanix Forest and beyond.
