Þrihakía

Þrihakía is a stretch of semi-arid steppe in eastern Dragonía which forms the boundary between the Plain of Kings to the north and the Southern Desert to the south. It's inhabited by tribes of Þrihaks, cousins of the Mörkels to the north.

Geography

Þrihakía forms the southwesternmost corner of the great plains which cover much of northern Dragonía. Much of the region is unsuitable for agriculture, safe for the northern border and around a few oases, so the inhabitants have adopted a nomadic or semi-nomadic lifestyle.
Rains are infrequent and unpredictable, happening mostly during the winter, while sandstorms are relatively common in the southern region.

Fauna & Flora

Rekan Birds, wild and domesticated alike, are common throughout the region along with Sönakad Wolves and various rodents and reptiles. The wildlife is more diverse along the coast of Narra'tonei Sea to the east, featuring a variety of crustaceans, mollusks and small, flightless birds, all of which are prey to scavengers such as wolves and reptilian Gírks.
