Basic Information
Anatomy
Rekan birds are are of similar size as the Ykan Birds of Ela'k Forest, though the two are only distantly related, the former are are generally heavier and less gracile than the latter.
When cornered by predators, their main defense is to kick them, which while not nearly as dangerous as those dealt by Förns, are still strong enough to leave serious injuries.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Mörkels and Þrihaks alike raise rekan birds for their meat, eggs, fat and plumage.

They are generally found in central and eastern Plain of Spirits, and throughout the Plain of Kings and Þrihakía.
