Fekai Lake

Fekai Lake1 is the largest one on the great plains of northern Dragonía, located at the heart of the region of Plain of Kings to the east.
The western shore of the lake is the cradle of Mörkel civilization, where their prototypical kingdom of Eila'togía appeared around 100 a.Dr, and is now ruled by the Otra Alliance, a major power formed by the kingdoms around the lake, namely Aralrar, Kóvúrt, Lelenda, North-Eila, South-Eila, Úlb and Tlókon.
Originally referred to as simply The Lake or The Great Lake (to avoid confusion with Tasúl Lake to the west), Fekai Lake was posthumously named in honour of Fekai, predecessor of Kaþúló, the first ruler of Eila'togía. Her body was brought to an island -named Fehyn thereafter- where it was burned in Útel-Móerkel fashion, the last recorded instance of such funeral on the Plain of Kings.

Cultural significance

A number of festivals, games and sports performed by the local Mörkels are held by or at least associated with Fekai Lake in some way. Tlókonans, for example, hold games each year where competitors need to retrieve a golden object from the lake, while Katerans in Lelenda swim all the way to Fehyn and back again as a part of a religious ceremony.
