Bachis lies in the Bostin Hills, between Holdras and Irnassa.
The surrounding hills are a rich source of metal ores, but banditry is common. Bachis acts as a guardian to the mining settlements scattered throughout the hills, and armed patrols regularly scour the area.
Bachis has a thriving smithing and forging industry, and produces weapons, armour, tools, and other metal goods, and the town is home to a large temple to Piatok in his aspect as god of mining and smithing.
