Parroc

Parroc is a region in the south of Great Forbin.  
Parroc
  The region runs along the south coast of the island, between the rivers Misdorn and Pud. The Parroc Hills run along the north of the region. Parroc is bordered to the west by Gilrim, to the north by Midrun, and to the east by Jalussan.   Parroc plays a crucial role in supporting the economy of Forbin, providing essential resources to its towns and cities.

Climate

Parroc enjoys a temperate climate with warm summers and mild winters. The region benefits from consistent rainfall, particularly in the spring and early summer months, which supports its agricultural activities and contributes to the lush vegetation found throughout the area. The fertile soils, nourished by rivers like the Pud and Hena, enable a variety of crops to thrive.  

Geography

The geography of Parroc is defined by its undulating hills and the significant river systems that crisscross the landscape. The River Pud flows through the region, providing vital water resources for farming and supporting local ecosystems. The riverbanks are lined with flourishing vegetation, while the surrounding hills are dotted with picturesque meadows and woodlands.   Parroc is home to several small towns and settlements, including Pudras and Selmana, which are strategically located along the riverbanks, facilitating trade with neighbouring regions.  

Flora

Parroc is known for its rich and diverse plant life, with fertile fields cultivated for grains, fruits, and vegetables. Common plants include Achamen and Banthis, which add flavor to local dishes. The region also boasts vibrant wildflowers that bloom in the meadows, attracting pollinators and enhancing the landscape's aesthetic appeal.   The wetlands along the rivers are home to various reeds and aquatic plants.  

Fauna

The fauna of Parroc reflects its diverse habitats, with various species thriving in the region's fields, forests, and waterways. The River Pud is home to several fish species, including Darvion and Kressarass, which are vital to local fishing communities.   In the fields and meadows, deer graze alongside wild boars, while small mammals like rabbits and golden squirrels add vibrancy to the landscape. The region is also rich in birdlife, with species such as the Alyrros and Crimson Tarron frequently seen flitting among the trees and open fields.  

Inhabitants

The people of Parroc are primarily engaged in agriculture and trade, with a strong sense of community that binds them together.   Major settlements in the region include the city of Olbrint, and the town of Fesbrint. Towns like Pudras and Selmana thrive on the fertile lands, producing a variety of crops that support both local and regional markets.   The region is ruled by the Lord Guardian, Rayna Tharnesta from Olbrint Castle.
