Excerpt for a common preaching giving to young children

Magic is everywhere and we are magic. All of nature is united with Magic as one and we are not exception. We are all born of Magic and one day we will all return to Magic.

Magic is might. Magic can be everything and do everything, regardless of whether or not we are aware of it. Indeed, as puny humans, we can only hope to learn a tiny fraction of Its splendor. Yet, it behoves us to continue our exploration of Its glory so that we can understand It better and love It more for it.

Magic is worthy of our adoration and of our thanks for Its benevolent gift of life and power. Never forget to offer some of your magic back in return during festivals. Far from weakening you, this will allow you to commune with Magic and, for a brief amount of time, to feel as one with the rest of the universe.

Magic must be respected. Never blame It for the unhappiness and misfortunes that befall you in life, for It will not bend the world just to please you. Be grateful It gave you a part of Itself so that you have the means to change your fate and rather than complain get to work. But if you are still tempted to curse, do remember that destruction is always easier than creation, and that to Magic human's life are tiny.

Magic's will must be followed—but always be careful of those individuals who claims to be able to hear Its voice clearly and who uses this as an excuse to make everyone obey them. Participate in festivals and put your whole magic into them to create a strong bond with Magic so as to hear Its voice yourself.

I like that this is aimed at kids. Covers some quite deep ideas simply. :)

Beautifully written and easy to understand - just as is intended. I love the style and the story struggle that you are setting up with this myth.

Thanks <3 Yes my "magic as religion" is an important concept (and one that is at the root of the conflicts in this world), but I wasn't interested in spending too much time on here it, so I decided to only focus on the basic ideas XD

Fascinating! I didn't realize that Magic is a god-like force in your world (or at least believed to be). What a unique take on it!

Thanks :D Yes, I have only given brief glimpse of this in the background of my world until now, but I finally had to at least present such an important concept once.   Part of the difference between my Light and Dark mages is that the Light ones are slowly turning away from this belief (or at least the strict practices of the religion), as they've turned away from rituals.   The fact that rituals are also associated with religion makes their outlawing even more outrageous and hurtful for Dark mages and didn't help with the tensions...

Wow! There are so many layers there! I love how much more complex your world gets as I spend more time in it.

This is presented in such a fun and easy-to-read layout. The concise writing makes it easy for the reader to understand all of the tenets together.   I like that you chose to include some warnings, including the dangers of using magic for destructive purposes.

Thanks <3 The format I'm using for this world really forces me to stay concise and focus on what's truly important, and it's been an interesting change of writing style for me :D   I wouldn't say that using magic for destructive purposes is dangerous, rather that it would be super easy for magic itself to destroy human that don't respect it XD
