Guild notice—Use of portals

    Portals are incredibly complex to establish, incredibly costly to operate, and incredibly dangerous to use. They ought to be treated seriously and not be used for trivial matters—including weekend gateways, gathering material last-minute before deadlines, or impressing colleagues. Thanks to our political contacts, the rune guild has the high honour of priority consideration for using portals, and we will not tolerate to see this right revoked because of any member's careless attitude, no matter what their title or last name might be.   In order to request an authorisation to use a portal, follow the guild's internal procedures. Fill the appropriate forms correctly and fully. Any mistake and last minute change will see you disqualified from ever using a portal again under the patronage of the guild. Submit those forms to Madame de Nivers in advance—at a minimum one month, although three is recommended for reliability—and wait for approval. If refused, no complaint will be heard inside the guild. If you're so sure of your self-righteousness, go bother His Majesty.

When to use a portal

to travel long distance—e.g. from one end of the country to the other to do field work.
for urgent travel—e.g. on official business for the royal court.
if invited to do so by the private owner of a portal—but remember you're doing so at your own risk.
to transport pre-approved cargo—e.g. safe and validated materials for your experiments.
to leave the country—at least if you want to do so in one piece.
to travel inside the same city—unless you have a lot of money and politicians' goodwill to waste.
for non-urgent and non-essential travel—see above.
to transport dangerous or non-approved materials—if this doesn't kill you, the royal army will.
using non-approved portals—see above.
if your request has been refused—this will not kill you, but the royal army might still.

I looooooooooooooove how you've made these articles look like these sort of official looking pamplets and information. Great writing combined with a real funny, witty look :D

Thanks <3 They're really funny to make - and they force me to focus on the essential information and to keep the articles short, which has been good for not stressing me XD
