History of Primor

Rottria's death is a topic of debate for many, as there are two main ideas of what killed him...

The first of the Elvish Ethnic groups to split off from the Elves. Long before the war with the humans and the Elvish race was fractured into many smaller groups, a minority of Elves were fighting with the other tribes around them, leading to the first migration away from the mainland.

The restoration came only a few years after The Mages took over the church, with most followers being unhappy with the dogma being spread.

The Break off of the Human arrivals, believed to be travelling from the Frost Lands on rafts, small ships and in the more fantasied songs on the backs of Rhalen, arrive on the Northern shore of The Central Continent.

News reached the capital and decision needed to be made, the response would properly enter the lands into the Dark Age.

The news of each race had reached the leaders, the decision was made on both sides to form armies and begin to prepare for fighting...

The first display of the strength of the Elves, who until know had been under attack and been losing ground to the Humans.

Storms towards The Icy Strait caused the Human army to land on the coast and begin the march quickly towards the Deradare River. Unfortunately the army headed in a slightly wrong direction and ended up closer to the Elvish fort town of Arbor. The forward section saw in the distance a bridge but due to the very misty conditions didn't see the settlement beyond it, or the Elvish army gathering outside...

The Human army marches South to meet the Elvish army. But as both armies move towards each other a force of Centaurs are right in the path of both sides, leading to the largest battle yet in the war...

The period of Human expansion across The North and The East of the continent. The Elves continue to develop their cities and towns but become slightly more focused on military and developing a properly formed army.

The siege of Leelside which took place in extremely thick fog, leading to the city being taken but the Elves continuing to attack, causing massive casualties all round.

The attack on Kings Manor, where the extended family of King Yoren were. His sister, nephew and uncle were killed, while his aunt, niece and cousin were captured.

The defence of Carhill by Lanceron of House Guidel, the first act of the house that led to their influence and respect being as high as royalty.

The North declares it is no longer supporting the crown and intended to fight off the royal army if they made any attempt to take the North by force. This was also the first declaration of the Northern Council.

The first of the two battles fought within a day of each other

With their leader captured, their army mostly scattered and the crown holding two of their towns, the North was not sure how to continue with its war. The main force of the army, around 6000 men, had regrouped and slowly moving back to The Nightfort. They were planning on recovering and then trying to mount an attack on Ridgemot to try and rescue Hanlin Ewart. The King gave his men a few days to recover, with the rest of his army joining from the west, he now had around 24 000 in his army, now a formidable force ready to break the Northern spirit for good...
