Dark Elves Break off

Population Migration / Travel

The first of the Elvish Ethnic groups to split off from the Elves. Long before the war with the humans and the Elvish race was fractured into many smaller groups, a minority of Elves were fighting with the other tribes around them, leading to the first migration away from the mainland.

A small group of Elves had formed over several hundred years, they were less attuned to magic than most and due to that found it difficult to interact as it had caused their skin to turn a darker shade. The group had been pushed to the edges of the land, mocked and harassed, slowly the group saw themselves as a different race to the others. A small force of fighters went out and attacked the nearest settlement of Elves, killing many, and leaving a few alive to tell others that if the 'darker' Elves were not accepted by the growing tribes then they would continue to fight back. They were led by a dark elf known as The Goliath-supposedly he was over 8 feet tall. In response a collection of tribes gathered together their best fighters and magic users and sent them to exterminate the 'disease' that was the Dark Elves. When the dark elves found out that they were coming they evacuated the village, heading for the coast. They were chased for many miles, eventually being caught and a brutal skirmish broke out, the dark elves fought back but they were outmatched. It was only when their leader, The Goliath, joined the fight, using more magic than a dark elf should have been be capable of using. Shadows erupted from his hands, swarming the attackers and choking them, after they were fought off, the dark elves set to work setting up a temporary camp and building ships to cross the sea to the East.
