News reached the capital and decision needed to be made, the response would properly enter the lands into the Dark Age.

Some who escaped from Amberhall spread the word back to the capital, when the news reached the capital a decision was needed on how to respond. The Elvish King Loridiel formed a council of his advisers including the High Mages, there were not many Elves who considered themselves fighters or soldiers but there were a few, the Elves made the decision that they did not need proper soldiers and that the Mages and the guards the Elves had were enough. The Mages had enough influence to take the lead in military matters, organising a small force of around 10 mages to find out about the Humans, who they believed were just a small species who they had not yet discovered, not aware of the thousands who had been living in their lands for the last 3 years.
