Personal history
Setting out during the first days of the Elves, Gilidriel and his brother were sent by their father to find new lands to set up Elvish homes in. After travelling for a long time they found the site of Andlis-Harh
After several years of growing the city with the help of his brothers Gilidriel met an Elf and married in the city, having 2 children and heading to one of the nearby villages to raise his family in a more peaceful place. He left in his stead a group of Elves that would act as the law in the city, later becoming known as The Protectors
Legend goes that he and his brothers all aged well over 300 (more than the usual life of an Elf). Gilidriel was told of a threat by the newly formed Mages, a threat that had wiped out nearby Elvish settlements. Gilidriel decided he would lead a party to find out what happened, and while the Elves had never needed much in the way of an army, they had a small force capable of fighting if needed.
They went out and found a town burnt to the ground, the story tells of a demon creature waiting for them, who killed all but Gilidriel, he fought off the demon and with all his might killed it. Upon the demon's death another appeared, this one large, a mess of parts and features, which Elvish art has widely varied on portraying. The demon introduced itself as Agamine, the demon lord. Gilidriel, being honourable and just, attacked the demon but it was too strong, it fought with the Elf and led him to the edge of a cliff, and as the Elf fought tirelessly the demon revealed several innocent villagers who the demon was about to throw off the cliff, and would only let them live if the Elf jumped off in their place. The story goes that Gilidriel sheathed his sword, swore that the demon would face his end one day and jumped to his death.
