The warriors charged the army, cutting it two, the gates of the town couldn't hold back the Northerners and the town became a bloody battlefield, the king retreated to the fortified town hall, but the warriors fought their way to him, finally breaking the doors down. They ran in and saw the piles of bodies, waiting to be dumped in the river. They dragged the King out into the street and demanded to now what he had done. The King looked defeated, finally realising his situation. He asked to stand, and told them he ordered the execution of the prisoners, including their Jarl, who's body he had dumped in the river. One of the warriors couldn't hold his anger and knocked the King to the ground, beating him senseless, finally the others pulled him off the King, and a senior soldier stood over Tiberius and brought his axe down onto his chest, killing the King, fulfilling the promise made by Hanlin Ewart. The fighting in the river was brutal, with the southerners begging the Northern fighters to have mercy, the warriors were taking them prisoner at first but they noticed the bodies in the river, men they recognised, Northern soldiers and civilians. The warriors, in their anger started to cut down the southerners. And their bodies joined those of the Northerners.
