Mint District
The Mint District of Gathetoken stretches along the bank of the River Gathe from the Gathe Bridge to the Citadel District. The Riverbank is lined with Wharves and Warehouses and includes the famed Galleyhouse, in which the city stores its War Galleys, and the Customs Wharf at which goods imported from abroad are declared for taxation. Behind this runs the main west-to-east roadway: The River Road. This is nearly 10m wide along most of its length, yet is permanently clogged with traffic, goods in transit and street-vendors hawking their wares.
Demographics
The Mint District is a district of the city of gathetoken that hosts many sailors and traders at various times throughout the year. The arrival of a significant trading fleet can double, or even triple the number of people present in the district.

Government
The Mint District has two representatives in the Corporation's Council. Additionally the Temple of Aethyr's Hierarch is a Warder of the City and the Hierarch of the Temple of Harmony in the district shares a seat with the Hierarch from the Citadel District's Temple. Similarly, the Guildmaster of the Leatherworker's Guild is also a Warder.
The Harrvik is a permanent embassy of traders from beyond the Maelstrom and is a temple to their trade god.
Defences
The Mint District is protected by the City Watch from a watchhouse known as the "Copperwatch". This is positioned at the end of Mint Street, all the better to keep an eye on the premises of that institution and the Metal-Smiths that have set up there.
Industry & Trade
The Mint District has some of the most exclusive industries and some of the most insulibrious ones. Game Street is notorious.
Infrastructure
The Public Fountain is the main public water supply for several districts (Bridge,Temple, Mint and East Market Districts)
The River Road, behind the wharves, runs east-west and allows access along the riverbank. There are also a number of alleys up the hill to East Market District that allow goods landed at the wharfs to be easily carried to that marketplace.
