Aelgrim's Fountain

Alegrim's Fountain is one of the most frequented locations in Gathetoken. The Fountain and Pool is fed by a spring and was crafted by the sculptor Alegrim. The frieze at the rear of the pool is of the ships of Token's fleet anchoring in the river just below (what is now) the Gathe Bridge. This is the point where the stream of water from the spring entered the River Gathe.

The Fountain and Pool is dedicated to the Spirit of the Spring.

Purpose / Function

This fountain and pool provides the water supply to nearby premises and for many water-carriers that ply the city of Gathetoken.

Architecture

The pool in front of the spring is plain, well jointed stone, and the frieze behind is ornate (if not florid). The space before the pool is a well frequented area well known as a place for gossip and the news of scandal.
