Itlare District
The western-most district in Gathetoken, and one that is included because if it were not, it's heights would dominate any other line the wall could be built upon.
The streets of Itlare District are tight and winding. They don't have any concept of neat. The district was initially nothing but a camp, with temporary tents and shelters springing up ad-hoc. Paths would wend between these and these were then encroached upon. And as these tents were replaced by more permanent structures, that network was ossified into a proper warren. The only open spaces have been created by occasional outbreaks of fire - and when those were extinguished, the encroachments just restarted.

Government
Defences
The key defence in the Itlare District is the Gathetoken City Wall. This is pierced by the Western Postern which also acts as the local watchhouse.
Infrastructure
Itlare District is not well served with infrastructure. It has no public well and depends on residents climbing down to the Lourdene or buying from water-sellers, relies on its sewerage being cleared by night-soil workers and has only one main path that is crowded and winding and (in some places) arched over by the buildings.
