The general character of this district is of a bustling commercial nature. The queue to cross the bridge can start from before the gates open and sometimes lasts most of the day. This gives the traders the opportunity to sell to the passing traffic.

Government

The Bridge District has two representatives in the Corporation's Council.

Infrastructure

The Water supply is from the Public Fountain in the adjacent Mint District or drawn directly from the Gathe.

The main north-south road is on an embankment to keep the slope minimal and which is paved with limestone. The shops on this embanked road are generally built so that the main shopfloor is on the first floor - and thus at road level.
