Lourdene District
The district of the city of Gathetoken in the curve of the junction between the river Lourdene and the River Gathe.
The District is bisected by the Lourdene - the inlet to that stream having become a haven for a floating town that is inside the boundary of the City of Gathetoken.
The Gathetoken City Wall sits on the far side of the Lourdene and starts at the Low Tower. Other than the wall, there is little on the land on that side of the pool, the edge being sheer and the space being minimal.

Government
Lourdene District has two representatives at the council of the Corporation of Gathetoken. Although it has a Temple of Token, the Priest is not a Warder, that seat being held by the Great Market of Token instead.
Defences
The Low Tower and the Gathetoken City Wall provide defences for the city at this western end of that structure.
There is a watchhouse by the Fisherman's Wharf.
Infrastructure
Lourdene District is poorly served by roads (The only major one is the Bank Road), but has many alleys from the waterfront up the river bank to the Dene District or Weavers DIstrict. That said, much of the district is, in fact, not on land at all. The mouth of the Lourdene being a large pool used as a basin for the mooring of boats.
History
Lourdene District was a small fishing community prior to the arrival of Token and the founding of Gathetoken. Had the wall been placed to use the Lourdene as a moat, that village would have had to be demolished. As this was not possible under the agreement with Gathe, the wall was placed on the other side of the river.
