Defences
The Dene District has no external boundary. It has a single watchhouse (Denewatch).
Infrastructure
The Dene District has Crooked Street as its only main street. It is well named, and steep. It does have a good water supply from the Lourdene.
Dene District does have two bridges over the Lourdene as it wends its way up the valley. These are prosaicly named the Low Bridge and the High Bridge.
Geography
Dene District sits within a steep sided valley, the floor of which is almost flat and the rim of which is between 10m and 15m above river level. The floor of the valley is served by narrow paths while the main road runs up the east-side, crosses on the Low Bridge to the west and then returns to the east via the High Bridge.
