The Kingdom of Rotheval
The Kingdom of Rotheval takes its name from The Rotheval Mountains from which it came, though it has since spread to control a vast swathe of the continent, made up mostly of the fertile land between the mountains and The Hurst Channel.
The Kingdom is divided by a number of rivers flowing from the mountains out to the sea. Its southern reaches, where it borders The Swamps of Baycotte, are prone to flooding from The Dancing Sea, but much of its land is protected by neigbouring Hillhurst from all but the worst storms.
Since The Reformation the Kingdom of Rotheval is governed by King Frederick IV Cimber and the Rotheval Nobility. As part of the reformation the country's Knightly Orders were divorced from its nobles, but the country retains a strong martial culture nonetheless.
Rotheval's capital is Switham, nestled between two arms of the Northern reaches of the Rotheval Mountains.
