ser Carsen Prester
Ser Carsen was a Hedge Knight living in Bayglen in the royal court of House Somercrag. in 441KS, with the revolutionary forces of ser Tyon Cray marching on Bayglen ser Carsen was amongst a small number of knights not sworn to either side of the conflict who chose to act as guardians to those fleeing the impending battle, including his own daughter Lendsey Prester.
Following Tyon's victory in Bayglen ser Carsen returned to the city and on the Second of January 442KS, following Tyon's coronation, he Swore His Sword to the King's service.
Ser Carsen accompanied Tyon on his visit to The Kingdom of Rotheval in 442KS. On their return from this visit, while passing through Timberreach in The Swamps of Baycotte, in October of 442KS ser Carsen was exposed to Smallfolk infected with Drowner's Lung. When he began to display symptoms of the sickness himself he was part of a small group of people from Tyon's travelling party left behind to form a quarantined camp until a treatment could be found.
In July of 443KS ser Carsen was treated by a band of Spire Foundlings sent to treat the sickness in the camp following guidance sent by Michael of Southbay. Ser Carsen had borne the sickness for longer than any other person to recieve treatment and, although it was successful in saving his life and restoring his control over his own body, the treatment left him greatly changed with the loss of both his left arm and his right leg as well as severe disfigurement of his face.
In August he returned to Bayglen once more, seeking to be released from his oath to King Tyon I Cray. During this visit the King released ser Carsen from his oath, and then raised him to the Lordship of Conn, land recently reclaimed from the Caulstid Bandits by the forces of The Southbay Duchy.
