Dawnrise
Dawnrise is the fortress-monastery headquarters of The Order of White Knights in The Kingdom of Irogonie.
Demographics
Every resident of Dawnrise is involved in The Order of White Knights, though of course not all are initiates in the church itself - after all, the people working in the church require clothiers, cobblers, grocers and so on - but all are ultimately serving the church's goals, and all are expected to be observant members of the faith.
Apart from the obviously high population of initiated churchfolk and White Knights, the city is also an institute of learning, boasting several colleges where prospective members of the church are taught the necessary skills to administer the faith to their flock, to provide advice in matters practical as well as spiritual, and to read, write and create art in the name of promoting the church's virtues.

Districts
In the center of the city sits The Temple of the Dawn's Light, surrounded by a sprawling network of ancillary structures. The Temple is then surrounded by grounds, including several outbuildings such as the dormitories of the Temple's staff, stables and barracks for its Men-at-Arms and so on.
Outside the gates to the Temple sits a vast plaza, and across the plaza from the Temple the campus of The College of the Order of the White Knights. Between them passes South the only major road in and out of Dawnrise. The remainder of the city is similar, divided into several small compounds built around churches or places of learning, each dedicated to some facet of the light-aligned Dualist faith.
The city is ringed by high walls and towers of carved Whitestone. Outside these walls, the abandoned remnants of Lyngstrup still stand in various states of disrepair.

History
Long ago, before Dualism came to The Kingdom of Irogonie from across The Landswake Islands, the city of Lyngstrup stood at the end of a spit of land in the Northern reaches of Irogonie.
Lyngstrup was the first place on The Continent of Greland where the Igendi landed, and the first place where they built their church. Over the years, the Dualist influence over the city grew until, in 364KS, the city was formally made property of The Order of White Knights. The Lord Hierarch's first official act was to rename the city to Dawnrise.

Points of interest
The city is dominated by The Temple of the Dawn's Light, a colossal church built entirely of Whitestone. The various cloisters, transepts, ambulatories, and wings extending from the nave of the temple and nestled in the walled grounds are almost a settlement in their own right.
The Lord Hierarch's Tower is the other stand-out amongst the city's buildings. A tall, slender tower on the Northern point of the outcropping where the city rests. Like the Temple, the tower is made of carved blocks of Whitestone. Despite its name, its distance from the Temple means it is rarely actually occupied by the Lord Hierarch.
